General Approach

CatSpy uses a two step approach to get a valid license:

• generate a license ID file from your local computer
• receive a license file and enable the license on your local computer

You may send the generated LID file via email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . After paying the license fee at PayPal, you will receive a LIC file, which you then can install using CatSpy. The license is then stored on your computer.

What contains the LID file

The LID file contains information identifying you personal computer. Changes of the hardware configuration might affect the license validation. In this case, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it to get a new license for your computer.

CatSpy embeds no personal data in the LID file.

What contains the LIC file

The LIC file contains your user name, your email address and the license number in encrypted form. The computer ID is embedded as well.

What do I purchase?

After purchasing, you will get a flat license. This means any upgrade to any version of CatSpy is free. You are then allowed to install and run CatSpy on two different computers at the same time (e.g. you surveillance computer and your test computer; send the LID file for both computers).
